Editorial policy
The principles that govern every piece of content we publish.
Last updated: 2025-10-01
Independence
StackReporter's editorial team operates independently from its commercial team. No advertiser, partner or sponsor reviews, approves or has any right of refusal over editorial coverage prior to publication.
Sourcing
Every claim in a StackReporter story is sourced. We prioritize primary research, named interviews and firsthand testing. Anonymous sources are used sparingly and only when warranted by reader interest.
Fact-checking
All editorial content is fact-checked prior to publication. Long-form research and product reviews receive a second-tier review by a senior editor or subject-matter expert.
Revision & updates
Articles display their original publication date, last updated date and last fact-checked date. Material revisions are noted in a corrections log.
Conflict of interest
StackReporter analysts disclose any financial relationship — including equity, advisory, or employment — with companies they cover. Affected coverage is reassigned.
